Samuel J. Kline , 1924
Abstract
Born in Kansas in 1859, Kline journeyed to Denver with his family in 1862 behind a mule team. In his memoir he recalls the Cherry Creek flood of 1864, Lincoln's assassination, and living on the outskirts of Denver.

Folder contains two (2) copies of a ten (10) page article by Samuel Kline, on recollections of early days in Colorado Territory. Exerpts are taken from Kline's book, "Recollections and Comments" (Los Angeles, 1924) which, among other topics, covers his childhood in the West, primarily in Denver.
