A group of people stand in front of the New York Pavilion at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS). Dr. Charles Spivak is pictured in the front row, eighth from the right. The JCRS was a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients that was founded in 1904 by a group of immigrant Jewish workingmen along with the support of several leading physicians and rabbis in Denver, Colorado. The sanitorium was located on West Colfax Avenue just outside of Denver.

Also visible are the stacks of the power plant, and the west side of the central medical building. Group of men and women standing in front of a large wood fence. Milton Anfenger is eighth from the right in the front. He is standing sideways and is smoking a cigar. The photograph is on page 172 of Milton Anfenger's scrapbook. He belonged to a number of organizations, including B'nai B'rith and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Milton Anfenger was also a Colorado state senator and an attorney.
