Composite of the Elias Cohen family of Aspen including a formal portrait of Elias Cohen (bottom left); a formal portrait of his wife and two daughters (bottom right); and formal portraits of his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Weinberg (top). Elias Cohen was a resident of Aspen by 1891, a mine supervisor in, and manager of David Hyman's properties. It was Cohen who suggested the use of deep-sea divers to repair broken mine-pump shafts.
