Abstract A prayer shawl (tallis - Ashkenazic pronunciation, tallit - Sephardic pronunciation) made from a light-weight wool with ivory silk and black heavy cotton or wool woven stripes. The lower sides have eleven 2 in. tzitzit (fringe) and two 13 in. tzitzit (fringe). All four corners have a 3 1/2 in. x 3 1/2 in.square of silk jacquard with a hole in the center from which the tzizit hang.
