Mabel Rilling Collection
Mabel Rilling (1883-1972) was Director of Physical Education for Women and Associate Dean of Women at the University of Denver from 1909 to 1964. In 1935, she founded the DU square and folk dancing group known as the Pioneer Promenaders, which performed throughout Denver and in Washington D.C. Rilling also lectured for many years on the Chautauqua summer circuit. This collection contains photographs, scrapbooks, notebooks, and clippings related to Rilling's educational and dance career.
