Abstract

Box contains One (1) copper scupper box from the original Hebrew Educational Alliance building at 3636 W Colfax Ave. The scupper box is highly decorative as the front was made to resemble an open Torah scroll, which is embellished with a filigree Star of David. There is also filigree menorah on the left side of the scupper box.

Abstract Jane Russo is the great-granddaughter of Charles and Jenny Charsky Spivak. Jane Russo was born in Denver in 1946 to Nelson and Ruth Strauss Oppenheim in 1946. Ruth Strauss was the daughter of Herman and Deena Spivak Strauss and Deena was the daughter Dr. Charles and Jenny Charsky Spivak. Charles Spivak was a medical doctor and the long-time secretary of the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society. Abstract

Seven branch brass candelabra (menorah) on octagonal base. Each corner of the base has a rams head with greenery between and a smaller octagon atop that features greenery decor as well. Base of candle holder has acanthus leaf design. Bits of melted wax in various colors have dripped onto the candelabra and the green velvet bottom covereing has become mostly detached. A small round white sticker on the base says "D N RADINSKY COLLECTIONS" and handwritten is "1 SCG" (?).
