Scope and Contents From the Collection: The materials in this collection document the professional life of R. Russell Porter while he was a member of the faculty of the University of Denver, from 1946 until his retirement in 1976. Administrative materials provide a chronological framework for the artistic works that follow. They include biographies, obituaries, press releases and newspaper clippings, faculty personnel records and evaluations, insurance packages, travel records, brochures, personal papers, interviews, photographs...

Abstract

This box contains files on different tv and movie projects that Russell Porter took part in as well as poetry by Porter and a character portrait. Acting files include: resume and headshots, Kate McShane (1975), Audrey Rose (1976), The Betsy (1977), Harvey (1977), 10 Little Indians (1981), Martin Luther Film Project, and miscellaneous and playbills. One poetry folder contains loose poems and edits while the other is a bound volume.

Abstract

File contains 3 signed portraits of British born film and TV actor, Leo Britt. Inscribed to "Helena" Maxine Lower appears in one of the portraits. Threre are additional candid of Leo Britt inscribed to "Helena" from europe in the 1930's and a later two from the 1950's. Additonal portrait of unknonwn actor, same vintage. Photographer: Gibson, Chicago. There is also three candid of the unknown actor, possibly in Euripe. One photo is dated April 19, 1936 on the back.

Abstract Max Goldberg was a newsboy for 17 years and wrote a column for the Denver Post "Side Street" where he covered newsmakers. He also was a radio sports broadcaster at the age of 21. His television show "On the Spot," where he interviewed national newsmakers and celebrities, was on air from 1952 to 1966. Max Goldberg knew some of the celebrities from fund raising activities for the General Maurice Rose Memorial Hospital. File contains a 1963 TV Guide listings for "On the Spot" and a TV Weekly,...
