Abstract An envelope from J. R. Hinkle, County Clerk, Gunnison, Colo. addressed to to S. H. Wood, Tin Cup, Colo. and a handwritten document to Mr. Sol Harris notifying him "that at a regular meeting, held Sat Evening Oct 25th 1884, You were duly appointed Treasurer for the Town of Tin Cup to have and o hold said office until your successor shall be duly qualified." Framed ledger sheets from July 1880 to April 1881 and ledger sheets from June 14, 1881 to July 14 1981 for Virginia City, Colorado created by Sol Harris as treasurer. Also in the frame is an envelope from the U.S. Department of the Interior, Census Office addressed to the Village Treasurer of Virginia City Colorado. The envelope is dated December 16, 1880. The town of Virginia City was reincorporated as Tin Cup, Colorado in 1982.

Abstract Solomon Hirsch and Hannah Levi Hirsch had six sons who immigrated to the United States and changed their last name to Harris. They were born in Fordom, Posen (Poland) and settled in New Jersey. Solomon Harris and his brother Eli went out west and settled in Virginia City, Colorado. The two brothers opened the Harris Bros.
