Abstract
This letter is addressed to Franz (Frank) Loeb, from Amsterdam on November 14th, 1938 from Walter (Schuckman). This is four days after Kristallnacht occur4ed. In the letter, Walter is relaying information about the Loeb family to Frank, who had immigrated to the United States months earlier. Walter tells Frank that the newspaper stories about Germany are not exaggerating, and don't tell the whole awful truth. Walter says, "I am ashamed to at least nominally belong to such a nation."
