Bertha Eppstein, 1912
Bertha Eppstein (1838-1912), wife of Max Eppstein, was important to the Denver Jewry for her work in philanthropy and education. She was born in Baden, Germany, and moved to America at the age of 18. Eppstein was the first president of the Hebrew Ladies' Benevolent Association, and very involved in the Jewish religious community.

Box contains (1) Rosh Hashana Prayer book in Hebrew from 1827, (1) Holy Book of Scriptures in English from 1947, and (1) report card book belonging to Bella Levi Loeb from 1899-1904.
Margret Richman , 1920-1928
Margaret Richman was a Denverite who attended Cheltham and East High schools, and graduated from East High School in 1928. The collection also contains her sister Ruth Richman's diploma.
