Castanet, circa 1930
One castanet, made in Mexico. Valerie Schreiber, Dorothy Bercu's daughter, remembers her bringing the castanets out to dance and play them for her grandchildren who were dazzled by them (see note from Valerie in collection file).

Performance Tiara and Memorabilia
File contains tiara used by Karen Williamson in a number of roles (Snow Queen for Denver Civic Ballet's Nutcracker). Also included is a set of castanets (well used) and some jewelry that may have belonged to Maxine Williamson.
