Anna Mantz Papers

Articles by Ida Hurwitz, 1959-1981
Ida Hurwitz wrote family stories and other historical articles, which were published in The Jewish Digest and the Denver Post. One story she wrote was "We'll Go a Little to the Baths" was about mothers and children going to the baths in Idaho Springs for the summer. Some of stories were published and some are typed copies.
Barenbloom Family, 1982
Avram Shloime Barenbloom, father of Chava Delka Barenbloom died in Preuznia (Russia/Poland) in 1903. In 1906 Chava and her sisters came to the United States. Chava and her husband Jacob Boscowitz established the Star Bakery in Denver. The Barenbloom Family Reunion was held in Denver, CO, on June 26-27, 1982.
Bernie Eisenstat Family Papers
Raymond Stone compiled and edited a book on the Chepelevskys of Slonim, the Eisenstadts of Telechan, and the Vernikovskys of Slonim. He has sketches of various family members and a family tree back to the 1800s in the book. Also in the collection is a folder with a family tree of the Eisenstadt family that goes back to about 1417, a two-page success story by Ray Stone, and a Stone/Eisenstat/Chappell Family roster.
Bidwell Family Papers
Elbert Emil Bidwell (Class of 1945) (1923-1991) and Beverly Adams Bidwell (BBA, 1947) (1927-2008) attended the University of Denver and were very active in various student organizations. The Bidwell Family Papers consist of certificates, paddles, plaques, medals and pins, and other memorabilia relating to their activities as students at DU.
