William Goldberg acted as the General Vice-Chairman of the Allied Jewish Campaign. In 1949, he was awarded by the Campaign for distinguished service.

William Goldblatt (March 3, 1883 - July 4, 1947) followed an unusual profession for a Denver Jewish citizen when he became a local fireman. He wa sa fireman from 1905-1914 until he became a Denver police officer and wore badge number one.
