David Kline, First President of Denver's B'nai B'rith, circa 1872
Formal portrait of Denver Jewish pioneer merchant David Kline, who moved to the city in 1865 and served as the first president of Denver's B'nai B'rith Lodge No. 171. He and Charles Schayer had also been leading members of the Hebrew Burial Society, which evolved into the Hebrew Benevolent Society.

David Silver was a Holocaust survivor who immigrated to Denver, CO. In Denver he was a very active mason and a Shriner with El Jebel. Collection contains certificates, and plaques related to David Silver from 1957 through 1999.

Dedication Plaque of the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society, between 1905-1940
A plaque of the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS). The plaque was given in appreciation of the New York Ladies' Auxiliary for their help in building the JCRS. The JCRS was a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients that was founded in 1904 by a group of immigrant Jewish workingmen along with the support of several leading physicians and rabbis in Denver, Colorado. The sanatorium was located on West Colfax Avenue just outside of Denver.
