Criticism

This box contains class materials as related to classes taught by Gerald Chapman at the University of Denver as the chair of the English department. These classes cover Literary Criticism, Philosophy, Religion, Greek Drama/Literature, Early Modern English, Augustan Period English, Elizabethan Period English, and Romantic Period English. The materials include class notes, assignments, and notated texts.

Editor of The Echo Publishing Company, which published "The Echo: Colorado's Magazine of Comment and Art" and founder of the Natinal Writers Club which gave help and advice to unknown writers, Rafflelock also founded one of the first writers' colonies in the U.S. He was inducted into the Literary Hall of Fame.

This folder is the contents of a binder labeled ''Figures''. Feldman used this notebook to record his research and opinions on major figures and how they related to the idea of myth. Each section on an individual figure included a section that described ''his position in a nutshell,'' a primary bibliography of the individual's works regarding myth, a secondary bibliography that also covered myth, critiques by others, and questions that Feldman had.
