Martha "Marty" Garrison crowned Denver U’s May Queen by Chancellor Alter on April 28, 1955. Junior-Senior Prom “Jungle Jive” to occur at the Student Union on April 30, 1955. Sleepy Time Gal – Cathy Smith. Bill Walen – head of the 1955 May Days, annual spring fiesta on the DU campus. Football time again – kickoff time rolls around at Hilltop Stadium at 2pm on Saturday April 30, 1955.

Coeds elect King on October 4, 1955. First student Senate meeting of the year held on October 4, 1955. Frats nominate eight for AWS “Apron King” (Bob Bryant, Ken Curtis, Jack Deeter, Orville Duffy, Sonny Moore, Mike Pappas, Paul Plath and Bob Siegelman). Men’s Dorms elect officers. Glen Buse, DU varsity football star was injured in automobile accident. “Y” slates gala events for membership quest. DU boasts new housemothers.
