Basketball: Alterman, 1948-1949
Born and raised in the West Colfax neighborhood, Leonard Alterman excelled at basketball in both AAU and at North High School. Alterman parleyed this success into a scholarship at the University of Denver, and after service in WW2, a short career with the old Denver Nuggets in the NBA's predecessor league, the National Basketball League.

Men's basketball vs. Arkansas State University from March 7, 2003, vs. University of Louisiana-Lafayette from March 8, 2003, and vs. Middle Tennessee State University from March 10, 2003. All games took place in the E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
