School of Aeronautics Records
The School of Aeronautics at the University of Denver existed in the late 1940s and trained students in aviation management. The collection consists of admissions and promotional materials for the School of Aeronautics.
School of Architecture and Planning Records
This collection contains the records of the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Denver from 1946-1952. The school closed in 1952 with less than 100 graduates. The records contain brochures, bulletins, correspondence, reports, course descriptions, lists of applicants and degree candidates, meeting minutes and memos from the Architectural Advisory Committee, and material on the formation and closing of the School.
School of Art and Art History Records
Collection contains the records of the School of Art and Art History at the University of Denver. Though a structured course of study in art began at the University of Denver in 1895 and was officially incorporated as a department in 1915, records in this collection begin in 1948 and span until 2010. Collection contains correspondence, reports, press clippings, exhibition information, program handbooks and more. Some material remains unprocessed.
School of Dentistry Records
This collection contains the records of The School of Dentistry at the University of Denver, which began holding classes in 1888. Operations and teaching were led by a group of local dentists and the school was one of the first to educate dental nurses. The school closed in 1932 after attempts to acquire state funding failed. The collection includes legal documents, newspaper clippings, and photos.
School of Glider Flight and Construction Records
Collection contains the records of the School of Glider Flight and Construction at the University of Denver, begin in 1942 and active during the years of World War II. Includes an instruction manual, glider drawings, newspaper clippings and articles.
Sears Family Papers
This collection contains the papers of Vera Sears (1912-2008), dance instructor at the University of Denver, and her husband Edwin Sears (1903-1964), a law professor at the University of Denver. The Sears family emigrated to the United States from Germany in the 1930s. These papers include correspondence, photographs, teaching materials, legal materials, clippings, dance notation notebooks, publications, scrapbooks, and audiovisual materials.
