Leonard F. Bischel Hsinku Poem
Abstract
Dr. Kenneth Kuanling Fan was a poet from Taiwan who invented a new poem format called "Hsin Ku" or "New Classic." A Hsin Ku poem consists of four lines of four words each, with the second and fourth words nearly rhyming. This collection contains a paper fan with a Hsin Ku poem inscribed on the back by Dr. Fan.

Biographical / Historical
Leonard Bischel graduated from the University of Denver in 1955. He has held many high offices for the United Poets Laureate International, the World Congress of Poets, the Arizona State Poetry Society, and the East Valley Poets. Some of his honors and awards include: NDEA Fellow, Fellow of International Academy of Poetry, Poet Laureate Man of Letters, Century Poets Award, and the Exemplary Services Award for World Brotherhood and Peace.
