Abstract
In September 1987, Chancellor Dwight Smith announced the appointment of Roy V. Wood as the first Provost in the history of the University. The new position united responsibility for the formulation and implementation of academic and budgetary policies. In 1989, Dr. William Zaranka became Provost, a position he held until 2001. Collection contains publications, grievances, board of trustees minutes, budgets, proposals, communications, public relations materials, committee records, finance office to Penrose records, course and teaching evaluations, faculty honors, staff benefits information, correspondence, Sheila Deitz records, research, personal and research files, strategic planning, and other records related to the office of the provost at the University of Denver from 1990 through 2000.
