Note attached reads: ''March 10, 1983 The University of Denver has been given 322 acres of land declared surplus on the Lowry Air Force bombing range. The property, to be used by DU for educational and research purpose, was disposed of as excess by the Army Corps of Engineers through the General Services Administration. Left to right, S. A. Johnson, Jr., DRI; Les Rousseau, U. S. Department of Education; Chester Hoggatt, DRI; Tom Tancredo, U. S. Department of Education; and Chancellor Pritchard who handled the transaction.''
