Abstract
Congressman Peter H. Dominick (R-Colo.) delivers his weekly radio address, Report from Washington, on July 5, 1962. Rep. Dominick notes that July 2nd, 1962 was the centennial anniversary of the signing of the United States Land Grant Act of 1862 (Morrill Act), which enabled western states to establish agricultural and technical colleges. He discusses the background of the Act and tells his listeners that Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins, Colorado was established under the provisions of the act. He also notes the importance of this legislation in creating opportunites for higher education in Colorado.
