Sen. Dominick KREX, 1974 March 4
Abstract
Senator Peter H. Dominick (R-Colo.) answers questions during a telephone interview for KREX Radio in Grand Junction, Colorado on March 4, 1974. Sen. Dominick discusses the Emergency Energy Bill, the extension of royalties on oil and gas leases, the Watergate scandal, the proposed impeachment proceedings against President Richard M. Nixon, and whether he would prefer being a Democrat instead of a republican up for re-election. In a second interview, Dominick answers questions related to the Clean Air Act including what possible changes might be made to the act during the Congressional appropriations process, whether stricter environmental standards should be allowed at the state versus federal level, and if a balance is possible between energy development and environmental protections.
