The Big Lie. The Senator and the Vietniks, 1967 April 15
Abstract
Senator Peter H. Dominick (R-Colo.) answers questions from host Philip C. Clarke during a special presentation of the Mutual Broadcasting System's radio program, the Big Lie, broadcast on Sat., Apr. 15, 1967. Sen. Dominick discusses anti-Vietnam war demonstrations in the U.S. and around the world, saying that they are part of a coordinated effort by communist countries, including the Soviet Union and N. Vietnam, to cast doubt on U.S. involvement in S. Vietnam as well as weaken political support for the war. Dominick also suggests what steps can be taken to counteract the negative communist propaganda campaign. The recording also includes 4 radio advertising spots and 4 short clips from Radio Moscow broadcasts that discuss anti-Vietnam war demonstrations in Stockholm, U.S. involvement in S. Vietnam, protests during Vice President Humphrey's European trip, and American Quakers providing aid to N. Vietnam.
