Paper Fan with Off-Balance Skier Image, circa 1920
Abstract
On the face of the fan, a man wearing brown boots, red and white argyle socks, white plus-fours, jacket and gloves skis downslope losing both his balance and his green cap. He manages to retain his poles. The fan is white paper, with dark [vegetation? bare?] patches in the nearground, mountains with forest and snowfields in the background.
