Oral History Interview with Veta Schairer, 1986
Abstract
Veta Schairer shares her memories about the University Park area of Denver, Colorado, including details about defunct businesses in the neighborhood including a grocery store at E. Evans Avenue and S. Milwaukee Street, as well as a convenience store at the elementary school. She confirms that the University Park neighborhood was well established and was populated by professionals when she moved to the area in 1955 or 1956. Schairer also discusses public transportation and the public and private schools in University Park.
