Modern dancer, educator, and choreographer Martha Graham sits outside at Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont. Graham taught modern dance at Bennington School of the Dance at Bennington College, the first center for the study of modern dance in the United States of America, for six-week summer sessions from 1934 until 1948.
