Biographical / Historical
Katherine Detre was born in New York City in 1910. Katherine's first dance class was at the Waldon School in New York. Detre went to the University of Wisconsin to study dance. In the 1960's Detre opeed the "Three Arts Dance and Yoga Studio," where dance, yoga, visual arts, and music were taught. The studio closed in 1979.
