Her brilliance presence fused with her mastery for movement has delighted audiences of all types. She earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and attended their Arts Conservatory. Setting no boundaries on her talents, she has blossomed as an artist. Medina has expanded her realm to include choreodrama, musical theater and desires to unfold into television and film. As an active member of Chuck Davis' African American Dance Ensemble, Medina has toured all over the United States and abroad. She was also afforded the opportunity to perform with H.T. Chen and Dancers, North Carolina Black Repertory, and Otesha Creative Arts Ensemble. Her annual participation in the American Dance Festival has exposed her to several international dancers and choreographers. Having studied with renowned choreographers such as Donald McKayle, Abel Salaam, Donald Byrd, Carol Parker, and others, she shares her artistic knowledge unselfishly. One of Medina's treasured accomplishments is her certificate of study from the National Ballet of Guinea, which she obtained on recent residency in West Africa. Whenever she is not touring, Medina enjoys teaching West African and Modern Jazz dance styles for community projects and as a guest artist in residence. Her reputation as an accomplished performer, choreographer and instructor continues to grow.
