Tan Velveteen Dress, circa 1927
Abstract
A tan velveteen formal length dress hand-stitched together. This view shows the front of the dress. There are layers of gold sequins and gold beads in a curved/arched design. The front neck velvet drape has a round velvet covered weight that hangs on the inside of the gown to keep the drape in place. The dress has a plunging back. The underdress is a peach colored rayon shift with thin straps. The overdress is attached to the underdress at the waist. Originally belonged to Sara Isaacson Ettenson.
