Black Lace Dress, circa 1926
Abstract
Tea-length black evening dress. This view shows the front of the dress. The dress has a black silk underlining and a cotton long-sleeved lace overdress. The dress has a high neckline. There is a black silk belt around the drop waistline with a black silk asymmetrical bow on the belt at the front left side below the waist. There is a lace asymmetrical bow on right shoulder. The garment was originally sleeveless; the synthetic lace sleeves were added later and are of a different lace than the rest of the dress. Originally belonged to Sara Isaacson Ettenson.
