Pillbox Hat, circa 1960
Abstract
A woman's pillbox style hat covered with small bird feathers in turquoise, red, white and black. The middle of hat does not have feathers. There is an aqua-blue colored velvet bow in the front. An uneven aqua colored tulle covers the entirety of the hat and it forms a veil across the front. There is a hatpin with a black velvet head in the top of crown and a hatpin with white pearl-like bead head in the front rim. This view shows the front of the hat and the two hatpins. Originally belonged to Sara Isaacson Ettenson.
