Ice Cream Outing to Denver Ice Cream Brick and Dainty Co., circa 1917
Abstract
Joe and Betty Alpert (fourth and fifth from left) are shown in a social outing with friends to the Denver Ice Cream Brick and Dainty Co. at 719 13th street in Denver (Colo.) Behind the group of twenty men and women are cars, the Denver Ice Cream Company building, a multi storied home, and Saint John's Episcopal Cathedral. On the building is a sign ''Denver Ice Cream Brick and Dainty Co.,'' and signs ''Bricks 5¢ -- Dainties 1¢.'' Three men stand in the doorway of the Denver Ice Cream building. One man wears a military uniform. The car to the right is full of hats and coats.

Scope and Contents
The collection contains materials intentionally assembled by the Ira M. and Peryle Hayutin Beck Memorial Archives of Jews in the Rocky Mountain region. The bulk of the photographs are from or related to various towns in Colorado, but the collection also contains photographs from other states in the western United States and other countries. There are some 19th century photograph types represented in the collection, including albumen prints, daguerrotypes, tintypes, post cards, colorized prints, cabinet cards, and cartes-de-visite.
