Biographical / Historical
The Golden Book of Life series contains records of donors to the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS) and the AMC Cancer Research Center from around the United States. Dr. Charles Spivak wanted the patients and donors to feel that the JCRS belonged to the people and so many of the early donations are for less than a dollar.
