Box 50: Large Format Negatives, bulk: 1950 - 1960
Abstract
Box 50 contains approximately 700 negatives from the Department of Marketing and Communications, circa 1950. The negatives are organized into thirteen (13) file folders, each containing twenty (20) sheets of negatives except for two folders which contain less than 20 as one folder was the end of the collection and the other contained different sized negatives. Subject matter of the negatives include: DU Buildings and Spaces (Mary Reed, the Law Library, Francis Van Derbur Alumni House, Zeta Phi Eta room, hockey arena scoreboard, football stadium, card catalog at Penrose, Chamberlin Observatory, Buchtel Chapel, old bookstore, Templin Hall, Edna Hill Young Room, School of Hotel and Restaurant Management, Chancellor's Honor Club), DU athletics (hockey, skiing, baseball, golf, tennis, track and field, figure skating, football, swimming, synchronized swimming, basketball, cheerleading), Audiology and Speech Pathology with child, Bob Davine playing accordion, 90th anniversary celebration, university choir tour, young children in a classroom, Miss Mexico, Greek life pins, snowy campus pictures, tapestry/rug hangings, dancing, University of Denver (Colorado Seminary) wooden sign, KLZ-TV interview, DU ROTC, DU School of Theatre -- Silverheels poster, ILIFF students, photo portrait given to Dean Chester M. Alter, Joseph S. Jaffa Memorial Trophy, Kiwanis Club meeting, graduation photos, Paul Christiansen Choral School group photo, photo of Victor White taken by W.
