Estate of Rabbi Leizor Rosen, bulk: 2000-2011
Abstract
This folder contains paperwork and correspondence related to the estate of Rabbi Leizor Rosen. It includes Rosen's last will and testament and a letter from the attorney's representing Zera Abraham to the attorney's managing Rosen's estate noting that at a board meeting (before his death in 2003), Rosen pledged $4,000 to the congregation. A letter from Rosen's attorney in April of 2004 notified the congregation of Rosen's donation per his will. The congregation eventually began renting the house out to members of the congregation, as described in a letter (one original and one walk) from Feivel Gallard (the president of the board in 2006) to a family renting the home finalizing details of rent costs and housing authority information. In November of 2004, the Housing Authority sent a contract change clause recertifying and update housing assistance and rent costs for the resident at that time. An accounting form from November of 2006 lists costs upon the move-in of a new resident including total rent, housing authority share, prorated rent for the month of October, total due at lease signing, and remaining balance due. A similar form from March of 2007 separates rent costs into housing authority contributions and resident contributions. Also included are five property tax statements from 2003-2007 and a Miscellaneous Income form from the Denver Housing Authority in 2005. Two letters from the Department of Revenue described how property tax is calculated and then used for public services in 2006 and 2007. Three forms from the Denver Probate Court established Congregation Zera Abraham as the beneficiary of the estate.
