Biographical / Historical
After earning a B.A. in History in 1976 from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs campus, Stan worked as an oil and gas draftsman and as a cartographer for the U.S. Geological Survey where he retired from in 2016. He has worked as an amateur and part-time professional photographer for the past 34 years. Visit Denver hired him as a contract photographer from 1997-2009 for their official visitors guides. He also was the official photographer for the 2017-2019 Colorado Women’s Marches, and currently (2022) is the event photographer for the annual Denver American Indian Festival. Stan is well-known for photographing live performances for several local dance ensembles, including Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, Fiesta Colorado, Kim Robards Dance, Artisti-CO, Samba Colorado, and NU-World Contemporary Danse.
