Abstract
Contains speeches and transcripts of United Nations sessions concerning the U-2 spy plane incident and colonialism. Nikita Krushchev, in long speeches, attacked the United States and Dag Hammarskjold. Dag Hammarskjold was the secretary general of the United Nations from 1953 until his death in a plane accident. Khrushchev wanted to remove Hammarskjold as secretary general and suggested that the United Nations be ruled by a three person board representing the Western nations, communist nations, and the neutral nations.
