Biographical / Historical
Karen taught dance at the University of Northern Colorado for 30 years. During that time she taught a multitude of different courses, was coordinator of the dance program, directed the tour troupe, and was selected three times as an outstanding or favorite professor. Karen studied dance with a number of luminaries in the field including Alwin Nikolais, Murray Louis and Hanya Holm, plus a number of ballroom dance specialists. She was particularly well known for her partnering choreography and skills in teaching ballroom dance. She recently received a certification in Botanical Arts and Illustration.
