Abstract

2 folders containing flyers, broadsides, poem cards, playbills, and other ephemera related to BLH’s readings and performances, with over 100 unique items from the 1960s to 2018.

Highlights include items related to the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, poem card from Stone Press Weekly (no. 90. 1976), card advertising “New Work by Bobbie Creeley” at Gotham Book Mart (n.d.), small broadside announcing New College of California’s North American Poetry program (Fall 2017) including BLH; Festival of the Arts Today in Buffalo (Mar. 2–17, 1968), and card advertising “B. Hall 1961—An Exhibition of Recent Paintings” at the Jonson Gallery at University of New Mexico.

Also includes proof of cover of Frenchy and Cuban Pete by BLH. With additional oversize materials.

Broadsides/Poem Cards:

D for Dead Dog, in 9 versions with differently stamped colors. From A Poet’s Alphabet, by Treehouse Press. 2000. Rubber stamp for this printing is located in Box# 22. Poem card.

“Her voice when she spoke was …” broadside, printed by Kavyayantra Press at the Harry Smith Print Shop. The Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, The Naropa Institute. July 1994. B’side no. 5. 2 copies in white, 1 on lavender paper.

“Why Does Anyone …” broadside, inscribed by BLH. An unnumbered copy of 200, by Black Mesa Press for Woodland Pattern Book Center. 1983.

A particularly fine copy of limited-edition broadside, “how do they make it be a story” in honor of the BLH memorial reading at Naropa University on Jun. 17, 2018, printed by Kavyayantra Press.
