BLH writes of “the implication that tonality, continuity of sound, and tempo create response is as true in the sounding, speaking voice as it is in music,” and “I adore the speaking voice and if I have ever had a “breakthrough” in writing it was when I realized that I was an experienced talker and an inexperienced writer, and that if I could “talk” onto the page I would bypass many of the problems I was stuck trying to solve.”

1 folder of materials related to music performance, including typescript lineup of 1980 Vancouver Folk Music Festival, program for 1981 Vancouver Folk Music Festival, set lists, autograph and typescript sheets of lyrics (some with chord diagrams), multiple songs on commercially-printed sheet music, and handwritten sheet music.
