Susan Kinney and John Prosser for Colorado Reflections
Abstract
Susan Kinney, independent documentary television producer, and John Prosser, former dean of the College of Design and Planning at the University of Colorado, describe the "Cities are for kids, too" program. Kinney and Prosser discuss their partnership in producing a documentary regarding the educational program for school children in Cherry Hills Village Elementary School. Prosser describes the "Cities are for kids, too" program which teaches children about Denver including the evolution of the city, history, architecture, population facts, and comparison to other cities. Programs were based on participation and active learning. Kinney discusses filming, editing, and producing the documentary of the creation and application of the education program.
