Abstract
Bly Curtis, the first woman council member of the Boulder City Council, reflects on her memories of Boulder. Curtis discusses her time as a director of residence halls at the University of Colorado at Boulder for 30 years, reflecting on women's fashion and social life, the Great Depression, World War II, and military personnel on campus. Curtis reflects on her interest public health policy and her efforts on the Boulder City Council to establish a Health Department including restaurant inspections, milk homogenization, water purification, and other public health measures.
