Abstract
Bury interviews Mr. Harry Broderick, assistant Superintendent of Public Instruction under "Skipper" Dick during the late 1950' and 1960's. The bulk of the interview centers around Dick himself, his interaction with the press, the School Board, and the school district. Other topics include: law and legislation for texbook adoption, teacher certification, the role and duties of the superintendent. Broderick also confronts the subject of how partisan politics, both on the Board of Education as well as the problems it creates within and between different administrations.
