Mr. Richard Ribble has worked with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Leupp for four and a half years. Interviewed by Cherry Ray on March 16, 1981. Topics discussed in the interview include: Richard's family and educational background, he was born in New York; his introduction to Indian Education in Leupp, Arizona; comparison of native to non-native schools; the goals of Indian education; the strengths and drawbacks of assimilation; paternalism and termination; students' opinions on the reservation and home life; bi-cultural education; Red Power; and a summary on present Indian education.
