Box 103: Audiovisual and Data Storage Formats, bulk: 1981 - 2012

Box 103 contains an assortment of audiovisual materials previously held by the Department of Communications and Marketing. There are 23 VHS, 1 betamax, 1 U Matic cassette, 2 boxes of 3.5 inch hard floppy discs, 8 ZIP disks, and 7 audio cassette tapes. VHS content primarily consists of local news mentions of DU and interviews with DU faculty. Some specifics are Jennifer Reich, sociologist at DU, being interviewed by NBC Today, CBS 4 News mentioning former Colorado governor Bill Owens becoming a senior fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Studies at DU, WB 2 News discussing a missing DU student due to the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, Fox 31 News interviewing Dan Ritchie on his book Built for Learning and the new buildings/updates on the DU campus, Fox 31 talking to Dr. Ron Throupe about the growth of Denver, and a CSPAN highlight on June Travis, MBA alum of Daniels College of Business. The two DVDs are titled, The Era of Distinction: Daniels College of Business, and edited PeaceJam video. The betamax is, Critical Issues in Gifted/Handicapped Education cassette 1 of 2. The U Matic cassette is titled, Life in Washington, and was produced by Barbara Moller. The Zip disks and 3.5 inch hard floppies are mostly unlabeled.
