Box 2: Art Education Materials
Abstract
Box 2 contains various folders from Dr. La Pierre's collection of research and notes. Contained are mainly documents concerning art education, such as curricula and curriculum theory research, and a number of brochures and publications from the National Art Education Association (NAEA). Materials are arranged alphabetically from "Course Manuals, 3 of 4" to "NAEA Advisories, 2 of 2".

Scope and Contents
The collection contains mainly research documents with personal notes, syllabi and lecture notes of classes attended and taught, and raw data collected for Dr. La Pierre's Ph.D. dissertation. Additionally, there are photgraphs, slides, and negatives of art objects, primarily Dr. La Pierre's own work, but also reference photos of Native American art, and a photo series from her cultural research trip to the People's Republic of China in 1983, with photographer Nancy Kuhl.
