Scope and Contents
Box contains one acrylic painting by Maria Lowenstein, done while she was living in Denver. Painting is of buildings with a red three-story and a cream colored two-story building in the foreground with tops of buildings in the distance. Artist signature "Maria" in bottom left corner. The work is done is a cubist style using shades of blue, red and cream with black outlines. The paint is on a textured surface. Appears as though cheesecloth was stretched over surface before paint was applied. Piece is portrait in orientation and framed in a thin 1 1/4” tan wood frame that has been distressed with white paint. Water damage evident on lower lefthand corner of mat.
