Box 1 contains one (1) notebook of handwritten notes made by Mabel Hancock (nee Kimzey) who attended Colorado Women's College in the early 1900s, along with her sister Sylvia. The notes pertain to housework, sewing, cooking, hostessing, and other skills required for running a household in this time.

Scope and Contents
The collection contains one notebook of handwritten notes of household management, hostessing tips, sewing techniques, etc. These notes are undated, but likely date from the early 1900s. A note on the first page of the notebook advises that "The Cost of Living" by Ellen H. Richards is continually referenced throughout the notes. Sewing examples are also located in the book.
