Biographical / Historical

Hope Moore Waggoner was a dance instructor in Denver, owning her own studio the 'Hope Moore School of Dance' beginning in 1962. After high school, Hope performed in USO shows and served as a majorette for the American Legion Band, touring the United States. As a professional dancer she performed on stages and in clubs in New York City, Chicago,Baltimore and Miami Beach. In 1948, Hope started teaching at the Florence Kessler School of Dance. Hope continued to perform, most notably as the lead dancer in many Denver Post Operas. She was a judge and choreographer for Miss Colorado Universe Pageants and also choreographed for the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders. Hope died on April 11, 2015.
